So everyone keeps telling us we are in a global financial meltdown, tourism will surely suffer and the outlook on the world and life in general is pretty bleak.
Well that’s not how it’s been going in my business, quite the opposite.
One big difference lately though has been that more people are calling me to get me to put together domestic packages rather than international ones, and it got me thinking.
What is it about where I live, the Central Coast of New South Wales in Australia, that would make someone want to come and holiday here?
We have some of the most beautiful (and pretty deserted) beaches in the country, we have an enviable selection of cafes and restaurants, a beautiful temperate climate pretty much year-round, and we have one of the most laid-back lifestyles of anywhere in Australia and probably the rest of the world.
But what is it about your town that would make people want to spend their hard earned holiday dollars there?
